More Green for Leipzig: A new green roof has been installed at Westwerk. This sustainable initiative creates additional habitat, supports the urban climate, and contributes to the climate-resilient development of the site.

At our Westwerk Festival on September 13 last year, donations were collected for children—among other places at the bratwurst stand. The amount raised was topped up by us and has now been successfully handed over.

On September 13, 2025, we opened the doors and gates of the Westwerk for the very first time. Together with our tenants and thousands of visitors, we celebrated “Westwerkfest 1.0” — a day full of art, music, and creative diversity that made the site and its architecture tangible in a very special way.

Fadiel Hermans and Claude Chandler are guests at Westwerk Leipzig as part of a four-week Artist-in-Residence programme by The Travelling Art Gallery.
